My Favourite YouTubers

If you didn't know I'm a bit YouTube addict and I actually watch a lot more YouTube than I do TV or Netflix. I'm subscribed to 54 channels but I have tried to keep this list (somewhat) limited.

Studytube / Productivity:

The main thing that I have learnt from Ruby is that studying can be truly enjoyable and that you should always be yourself, not matter how "uncool" that may be. I love her videos for their positivity and coziness. I also find her study with me vlogs very motivational to get myself to start studying.

Jade inspires me with her optimistic outlook on life and her courage in everything she faces. She makes empowering videos, constantly reminding everyone that she a very real and imperfect human and that there is always happiness and adventure to be found in life. She also refuses to shy away from different conversations and untalked about subjects.

I only started watching Vee's channel recently but she is just so hardworking and positive in such an inspiring way that I couldn't not include her on this list.

I genuinely wish that I had found Ali's channel sooner. He has taught me so much about productivity and study skills that I don't know where I would be without them. He has some incredible videos about active recall and spaced repetition and he is the reason that I found and have started using apps like Notion and Anki.

Lifestyle:

Leena's channel has had a very big impact on my views in life. She is primarily a booktube channel but she also talks a lot about social change and social issues as well as environmental ones more recently. Her videos are so well researched and informative and detailed and actually make me stop and ask myself important questions about life.

This is another channel that I found very recently. I discovered Cinzia's channel because of Leena talking about her no-buy-year. What I love about this channel is that the videos make me uncomfortable. They ask me difficult questions that make me reflect on my own life which is never a bad thing. Also Cinzia is lovely.

I blame Maddie for my love of Ashley from best dressed. She kept telling me about this channel until I finally sat down and watched it. This channel is primarly about fashion and I have to say that I am very in love with and jealous of Ashley's fashion sense but Ashley also talks about life and internet culture and difficult things with such honesty and rawness that it gives her channel so much value on top of the fashion content.

Fran is an artist by trade but I love her vlog style videos for how raw and honest and comforting they are. Her videos are positive and friendly and so heart warming. She makes it feel like she is chatting to you as a friend.

Similarly to Fran, Cheyenne is an artist and has a sticker shop (with some amazing stickers!) but what I love about her channel is how warm and cosy her vlogs are. They are so calming and the perfect thing to watch in the background while doing something else or to sit back and enjoy. As with most of the other people on this list, I also low how raw and open and honest she is. A lot of her video are just of her drawing and pottering around but I find the voice overs very interesting.

Melanie Murphy runs a more traditional lifestyle channel and talks about health, beauty, exercise, life and mental health. However, what I love about Melanie is how raw and honest she is in her videos. They have definitely helped to be feel more comfortable in my own skin. She is also a force of happy and positivity which is very inspiring.

Sustainability:

I recently rediscovered Shelbi and I think she is my favourite sustainability influencer at the moment. She is constantly reminding me that I'm doing the right thing when I choose not to buy plastic and I continue to learn new things from her. I also love how positive and inclusive she is.

Ed is vegan and makes content all about veganism. I am constantly learning new things from him and he is one of the reasons I am becoming more and more passionate about veganism and making sure there are less and less animal products in my diet. He is also an incredible speaker and his debates are so interesting and informative. He has also written an amazing free ebook about how to defend veganism.

Levi makes incredibly accessible and fun content about sustainability. I am still constantly learning new things from him but I would definitely recommend subscribing to him if you want to start learning more about how to live more sustainability.

Creative:

Moriah is best know for her videos where she restores old and damaged squishes. Which might sound awful to you but trust me her humour and creativity bring every video to life in a way I haven't see other arts and crafts channels do. I blame her influence for me buying posca pens and wanting to paint everything I own in bright colours.
