Notebooks:
I have absolutely fallen in love with this 32 page notebook because it is so minimal. You write in friction pen, scan your writing and then the glossy pages mean that the ink can be wiped away and the pages can be used all over again. Is this more eco-friendly than paper? I honestly don't know but I don't enjoy writing on my iPad for prolonged amounts of time and I love how minimal this is. I use this when working through problem sheets or past papers. I love that I only have to carry one notebook everywhere and all my working is scanned and filed on my computer so I always have it with me if I need to refer to it. I have the Rocketbook Core in Midnight Blue with Letter A4 pages and Dot Grid. I use the 0.5mm Pilot Frixion pens.
For journalling I have found that having a nice notebook makes the experience more enjoyable. My preference is a Hardback A5 Journal with dotted pages. I have found the Moleskine ones to have better page quality but I like the Leuchtturm for its page numbers and contents page.
Pens:
Refillable Fountain Pens:
For writing on ordinary paper I always prefer to use a refillable fountain pen. They feel more luxurious than a biro or a gel pen and personally, I find my handwriting looks better. And I prefer to use reusable ones because they are more environmentally friendly. I am currently using a Rose Gold Helix Oxford fountain pen which I purchased simply because it came in plastic free packaging and I had the refill cartridge from a previous pen. I use Parker Quink Ink in Black.
I love a glossy black felt tip for writing titles and for making things stand out in my journal. This is the best one I have found so far by a long way.
I was gifted a set of Pentel Energel Gel Pens from Pentel to make some sponsored content with but I do truly love them and they are the best coloured gel pens that I have ever tried. I love these for drawing diagrams.
Who doesn't love these?? Although I have to admit that I don't use mine much anymore since I switched to doing almost all of my studying digitally or in my rocketbook. But I cannot imagine using neon highlighters ever again. I've tried a few brands and these are my favourite. However, if I were to repurchase these I think I would buy the new swing cool variety.
My Tiny Ruler:
On a trip to China I purchased a lot of stationery (who wouldn't) including a tiny 12cm ruler and I have loved it ever since (about 5 years now) because it fits into any pencil case and is
perfect when i quickly need to underline a title.
My most recent love is my Posca Acrylic Paint Pens because they offer the opacity of acryllic paint without the mess and fussy. I also find I have more control with a marker like this that with a brush. A particular shout out goes to the metallic gold one for being trying metallic. I mostly have PC-5M pens.
